Nationwide breast cancer prevention trial launched
The Yale Cancer Center is one of the sites selected to participate in the study of tamoxifen and raloxifene (STAR), a major nationwide breast cancer prevention trial. The study is expected to enroll 22,000 postmenopausal women who are at increased risk for developing breast cancer. The study will examine whether raloxifene is as effective as tamoxifen in preventing invasive breast cancer in women who have not had the disease. For more information, call Barbara Siconolfi at .

Yale-New Haven Mobile Mammography Breast Imaging Service
Is it time for a mammogram? The hospital's mobile mammography van, a 35-foot Airstream RV equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, visits communities from Old Saybrook to Greenwich and north to Meriden and Middletown.
